We are so pleased to announce the details of the 2003 Conference. We have increased the conference from two to three full days this year. In addition, we have added a support group session during the evening and an exhibitor’s room where companies are going to have products available for participants to look at and purchase. As you can see by the below conference schedule, the program is quite expanded this year with many new topics. We are working hard to make this the best conference ever!

The Chicago Marriott O’Hare is the site of our 2003 Medical Conference. It is an outstanding hotel with many nice amenities. It provides free shuttle transportation to and from the airport which is just minutes away. There are four restaurants within the hotel as well as room service. The indoor and outdoor pools, whirlpool and health spa are available for guests to use. For those who want to visit downtown Chicago the train is within walking distance.

Many of you filled out the conference questionnaire which was quite helpful. We added several talks of interest that you requested and we revised the food menu to include less spicy meals and healthier snacks. Overwhelmingly, most preferred to have meals as part of the conference fee. Therefore, breakfast, lunch and two snack times will be provided during the day and are included in the fee. Please use the application on the reverse side and mail back by August 1st to claim your $25 discount. See you in Chicago!

During the conference there will be a room adjacent to the main conference area in which vendors and organizations will display various products, aids, information, etc. that may be useful to BD patients. In addition there will be books for sale and ABDA logo merchandise. There will be an ABDA table with a board member present to answer any of your questions or just to chat.

We have arranged a special rate of $99.00 per night single or double occupancy for those guests who register under the ABDA. (Standard room rate is $199.00 per night.) You may call the hotel and register yourself but be sure to tell them you are with the American Behcet’s Disease Association. Do not give them the initials but the full name of the ABDA.
